The drivers who do not pay attention to the traffic lights risk heavy fines and penalty points. Until October 4, the Traffic Police will be carrying out the operation “Stoplights” within which increased attention will be paid to the drivers who ignore the traffic lights. Traffic Police Division press officer Antonina Talpa has told Info-Prim Neo that the operation is aimed at preventing road accidents, cultivating a civilized behavior in traffic, and improving the drivers’ and pedestrians’ discipline. The drivers who will neglect the traffic lights will be fined 500 to 600 lei and will get two penalty points.
