The premiums of the compulsory civil liability auto insurances will include price cuts for the insured persons who do not commit road accidents.
This provision was included for the second reading in a draft law voted by the Parliament on Thursday, December 22. It stipulates that the natural and legal persons who own cars will be obliged to purchase the civil liability.
According to the new amendments, the bonus-malus system will be applied when settling the insurance premiums that must be paid by the insured drivers. It includes annual cuts from 5% to 50% during 10 years for those who did not commit accidents in the previous insurance period. At the same time, the premium will be raised for those who committed road accidents.
According to the bill, insurance coverage will be counted and paid within the limits of the insured person’s liability, totalling MDL 500 thousand for damaging or destroying goods, regardless of the number of persons incurring damage in an accident, and MDL 350 thousand for each person supporting damage in case of injuries or death, but not exceeding MDL 700 thousand for several persons, regardless of their number.
The draft will be examined in the second reading and will come into force after 3 months from the date when it will be published in “The Official Monitor”.
