Drivers who did not change tires will be fined from today

The drivers who have not yet replaced their cars’ summer tires for winter tires face fines from today, December 1, press officer of the Traffic Police Division Antonina Talpa has told Info-Prim Neo. If the drivers will not appropriately outfit their vehicles, they will be fined 100 to 200 lei. According to the Traffic Police, the adhesion capacity of the tires used in the warm period diminishes at temperatures lower than 7 degrees Celsius and the drivers can experience braking-related problems. The Ministry of the Interior has said that the drivers are obliged to use winter tires in the period of December 1 and March 1.
