The National Patrolling Inspectorate warns drivers who receive messages on the mobile phone as if from the police not to call the indicated phone number. It is alleged that this is a method of stealing money from the accounts of subscribers, IPN reports.

According to the Inspectorate, a number of persons on December 6 informed the Inspectorate’s Common Monitoring and Coordination Center that they received the following message “Info Service of Ministry of Interior: You have to collect a Recommended Letter, #2189 of 5.12.2017. For details, call (8am-8pm) on +261340551750”.

The National Patrolling Inspectorate notes that it didn’t send messages with such content. The competent bodies are examining the situation.
