Weak fog will persist on particular road sections throughout Wednesday as well. In such circumstances, visibility can be rather low, warns the State Road Administration. Drivers are urged to keep a safe distance from other vehicles and avoid overtaking, IPN reports.
Given the drizzle, dense fog and low temperatures last night, the intervention teams of the road maintenance enterprises S.A. "Drumuri" were mobilized on national roads.
In order to prevent the formation of glazed frost and ice, road workers spread anti-skid material on a number of road sections in Straseni, Chisinau, Criuleni, Anenii Noi, Dubasari, Orhei, Calarasi, Rezina and other localities.
Approximately 140.8 tonnes of technical salt were spread in a mechanized way, with the help of 27 special vehicles.
