Drivers no longer able to get Green Card outside RCA Data system

From February 1, the Moldovan drivers will be unable to obtain Green Card insurance contracts, policies and certificates outside the state automated information system RCA (civil auto liability) Data, the National Financial Market Commission (CNPF) has said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. According to the Commission, the information in the RCA Data system will be used to exactly determine the insurance premium that every insured person should pay. The bonus-malus system is designed to provide legal discounts on premiums for the disciplined motorists and to increase the premiums for those who cause traffic accidents. The system will also enable to exchange information with the internal affairs bodies. The mandatory insurance contracts will be signed only at the head offices and authorized sales points of the insurers and insurance intermediaries. The list is available on the website of the supervision authority www.cnpf.md. The provisions do not refer to the insurance contracts signed before January 31, which will be valid by the date indicated in the RCA insurance policy or Green Card insurance certificate.
