The drivers involved in minor accidents are urged to go to the nearest traffic police station and not to call the traffic police at the place of the accident.
Aurelia Mija, inspector of the Traffic Police Division's Public Relations Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that if one of the drivers admits guilt and the vehicle's state does not endanger traffic security, the drivers can go to the nearest traffic police station by themselves.
Until the mobile team of the traffic police arrives, such accidents cause jams. In order to avoid them, the drivers are recommended to free the road and present themselves at the police station with the necessary documents and the signatures of the sides involved within two hours.
According to statistical data, 8,661 minor accidents were recorded in the municipality of Chisinau in 2010.
