Drivers involved in accidents leave scene

An 82-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man were struck by cars in different parts of Chisinau on Tuesday. The drivers left the place of the accident. The woman suffered a contusion of the thorax and fracture of three ribs, while the man – an open fracture of the leg bones, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Traffic Police. A young man was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Vadul lui Voda town. According to the Traffic Police, the accident happened near the local “Bucuria” sanatorium. The 19-year-old man was riding a motorbike and collided with a Seat car. He sustained a contusion, cranial-cerebral trauma, fracture of the cervical vertebrae and was admitted to the Emergency Hospital in a coma. An 11-year-old child was hit by a VAZ car in Vatra town. The boy suffered associated traumas, contusion of the internal bodies and concussion. Five persons were hurt in traffic accidents in the municipality of Chisinau yesterday and last night.
