On the buses involved in public transportation, the drivers and passengers do not wear safety masks as they do not realize the danger posed by the novel coronavirus, Sergiu Baltaga, of the National Road Transport Agency (ANTA), stated in the inter-sector conference of the Ministry of Health, being quoted by IPN.

According to him, the situation is similar in the case of occasional international routes. “Following the identified deviations, both the drivers and passengers were informed about the risk of becoming infected with the novel coronavirus and about the consequences that will be suffered if the protective measures imposed by the authorities are ignored,” stated Sergiu Baltaga.

He made a call to the people, road carriers and bus station managers. “Be more prudent and don’t disregard the effects of this virus. Additionally inform the employees involved in the transportation of passengers and provide the units of transport with disinfectant. The development of the pandemic situation depends only on us,” urged Sergiu Baltaga.
