A driver who had hit 4 young people in Crasnoarmeiscoe village two years ago was sentenced to 5 years in jail. One of the teenagers had died immediately and the others had been hospitalized, IPN learned from a press release of the General Prosecutor's Office.
The Hancesti Prosecutor's Office established that in January 2012, the drunken driver hit the young people on the road shoulder, although the 26-year-old didn't confess to the crime.
The court sentenced him to 5 years in jail and banned him from driving for 5 years. The court also ruled he must pay 175,000 lei to the victims for costs and damages.
