A violent accident occurred in Cimișlia district on a road section under repair on which the appropriate road signs were placed, according to the police. It happened after the driver ignored the warnings of a road worker and collided head-on his car with another car.
Contacted by IPN for details, senior press officer of the Cimișlia Police Inspectorate Cristina Vicol said the 55-year-old driver who ignored the road worker’s signs was travelling from Cimișlia town towards Chisinau. He had two passengers in his car. The other vehicle that was hit frontally was driven by a man aged 59.
As a result of the accident, both of the drivers and the two passengers were rushed to the Cimișlia District Hospital. The cars were seriously damaged. The breath tests showed the drivers weren’t inebriated.
