The state will borrow 12 million euros from the Government of Belgium for the implementation of the project "Decentralized Drinking Water Supply for Moldova." These funds will be used to install 85 water kiosk systems, which will provide decentralized access to clean, safe drinking water for at least 55,000 residents of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.

The Government has approved the initiation of negotiations on the Loan Agreement with the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium for the implementation of the "Decentralized Drinking Water Supply for Moldova" project.

"A loan of 12 million euros will be negotiated, with a 30-year duration, including 10 years of grace, and an interest rate of 1.5% on the remaining balance after disbursement," stated Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development.

According to Bolea, the project's implementation will contribute to ensuring access to safe and high-quality drinking water for the population, in line with European Union standards.
