Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that he voted for a strong and developed country. He urged every citizen to go to the polling station to pick up two ballots and decide the development path of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.

The prime minister came to vote together with his wife, Stela Recean. He said that the violations in the electoral process reported in the morning are minor and do not influence the outcome of the election and the referendum. Also, Dorin Recean warned the authorities of the Russian Federation not to allow illegalities, referring to cases of organized transportation of voters.

The head of the executive congratulated the over 42,000 young people who have the opportunity to vote for the first time in this election, urging them, as well as the members of the diaspora, to vote firmly for the country’s European path.

Polls close at 09:00 p.m. The electoral office can decide to extend the voting deadline by at most two hours to allow citizens standing in a line at the polling station to exercise their right to vote.
