The Republic of Moldova is an independent and sovereign state and the Russian Federation should not tell us how to act, said Prime Minister Dorin Recean. According to the official, there is a list of Russian citizens who are undesirable in the Republic of Moldova and this includes the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and businessman Igor Chayka. The Premier assured that the state institutions will not allow foreigners who promote war to enter Moldova, IPN reports.
The official noted that the given list was not made public, but the mechanism is efficient and those who aim to propagate military aggression are not allowed to enter the country.
“We have a long list and those from this list are sent back home. The Russian Federation should not tell us what to do and how to do it. The Republic of Moldova is an independent and sovereign country and anyone who does not respect the people’s choice are told to behave appropriately. They should not impose rules on us and should have a respectful attitude to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova,” Dorin Recean stated in the program “Black Box” on TV8 channel.
The Premier made it clear that the list of undesirable persons includes Russian singer Philip Kirkorov and other Russian artists with pro-war rhetoric. He called on the media to inform society about the real intentions of those who on the pretext of making courtesy visits aim to destabilize the situation in the Republic of Moldova.
“Those who say they are people of culture, but try to promote the war agenda, to become involved in politics in the Republic of Moldova are also banned access. We can make the lists public, but I think it’s better to act than to speak. We, the government, and also the press should explain who Kirkorov is and why he is not welcome. I assure you that none of those who should not enter the country entered it and all those who propagate and incite war will be shut up,” stated Prime Miser Recean.
Recently, the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnihanov, who intended to take part in the first international congress of people’s diplomacy “Friendship of People 2023” held in Cormat, was not allowed to enter the Republic of Moldova. Representatives of the Border Police noted that interference in Moldova’s internal affairs in the context of the Bashkan election in Gagauzia is inadmissible.
