The candidate for President Dorin Chirtoacă, who was proposed by the UNION Electoral Bloc, has voted. When going out of the polling station, he said he voted for the union with Romania, IPN reports.
Dorin Chirtoacă noted that his vote was also “against the ‘confiscation’ of the Republic of Moldova by those from the Kremlin, through manipulation and lies, through espionage networks and by our non-participation in voting.”
“Today the power belongs only to the citizens,” stated Dorin Chirtoacă.
The Moldovans who are eligible to vote are expected to vote in the presidential elections today. Polls are open between 7am and 9pm. Eight candidates run for the presidency.
