The vice president of the Liberal Party (PL) Dorin Chirtoaca proposed redirecting the additional funds allotted this year for the police to the social sector. The about 500 million lei could be used to implement a reform to allocate compensations to low-income groups, to support and protect the national producers and to limit the imports of products that are made in Moldova as well, the PL says in a communiqué, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
“Many Moldovans go abroad to work, most of the pensions and salaries do not exceed 1,000 lei, the children forget their parents as they do not see them for many years, but the most dreadful things is when a mother decides to sell her child owing to poverty, as it happened in our country,” Dorin Chirtoaca said, accusing the Communist government of ignoring the poverty in Moldova and of not providing solutions to alleviate it.
Chirtoaca expressed his indignation at the fact that at electoral debates the Communist authorities misinform the population that the average salary in Moldova is 3,000 lei. “How can the Communists tell such glaring lies, when the largest part of the population lives below the subsistence level?”
Dorin Chirtoaca said he is confident that the Liberal Party will win the July 29 elections. “The Republic of Moldova must and can take a historical decision so that all the people, regardless of their ethnicity or religion, could enjoy a European future free from Communist dictatorship and lies,” Dorin Chirtoaca said.
