Mayor General of Chisinau municipality Dorin Chiroaca instructed all the division heads to present the public procurement plan for next year by January 3, 2017.
In the ordinary Monday’s meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, the mayor reminded about the new Law on Public Procurement that requires thorough planning. As it was ascertained, the lack of planning in many cases does not enable to attract services, goods and works at reasonable prices and of a high quality.
“I will not allow performing public procurement procedures if the plans are not provided by January 3, 2017,” added Chirtoaca.
To ensure efficient and transparent planning, the mayor asked that all the division heads should present a selection of ten actions carried out successfully this year and ten priorities in their areas of responsibility for next year by December 23.
“It’s not the case to produce all kinds of reports. We must get used to highlighting essential things,” noted the mayor.
