Mayor general of Chisinau municipality Dorin Chirtoaca, who is under house arrest, signed an order to convoke the Chisinau Municipal Council on June 30. The agenda includes the appointment of two deputy mayors and the suspension of the Council’s secretary Valeriu Didencu, who is also under house arrest, IPN reports.
The mayor suggests Health Division head Mihai Moldovanu and ex-minister of environment Valeriu Munteanu for the posts of deputy mayor.
The Council is to also examine the hastening of measures to deal with the consequences of the April 20 snowstorms, provision of 500 tickets to summer camps for children and other issues.
