Dorin Chirtoaca meets Mikhail Saakashvili

Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca, who is on a visit to Tbilisi, Friday met with the Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Chisinau City Hall’s press service, the two discussed the bilateral cooperation relations between Chisinau and Tbilisi in different areas, implementation of democratic reforms in Moldova and Georgia and the November 28 early legislative elections. They stressed the importance of the elections for Moldova’s further development. Dorin Chirtoaca thanked the Georgian President for the construction of ten houses for Moldovan flood victims and a kindergarten in a flood-hit village, and for covering the stay for 120 children from flood-affected families at a summer camp in Georgia. The Mayor of Chisinau is taking part in the Conference of European Mayors held in Tbilisi.
