The National Bank of Moldova stages the Doors Open Day on June 4 on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of its founding. Those interested will be able to see the exhibitions hall in which the collection of commemorative and jubilee coins issued by Moldova’s central bank and commemorative coins donated by other central banks are kept, IPN reports.
The institution said that after moving the financial education events online due to the pandemic, it returned to the possibility of communicating live with the public.
The visitors will be told about the history of the national currency, the safety elements of this and how they can be checked and will be able to put questions about financial aspects that can help them in the daily life.
Applications to register can be sent to edufin@bnm.md by June 1, 4pm. These should contain the number of participants, the age and contact data of the responsible persons. Employees of the central bank will contact these persons.
Groups of 20 persons will be constituted to visit the National Bank between 9am and 4pm each hour. Access to the bank will be based on lists compiled beforehand. Students younger than 18 should be accompanied by an adult in charge of the security of minors during the excursion.
