A senior inspector of the Donduseni customs post is accused by prosecutors of passive corruption. The Nord Service of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office sent the criminal case started against him to court, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the prosecutors established that this February, the inspector asked €100 from an economic entity for not created obstacles during clearance. On February 11, the culprit was caught in the act of taking the money.
The customs officer, 44, was banned from leaving the country and was suspended from post until the court passes judgment, at the prosecutor’s request. He has worked at the Donduseni customs post since August 2012.
