Weather forecasters issued an orange code advisory for hot weather covering all the country’s districts for the period between July 18 and July 20. The highest daytime temperature, of 38 degrees Celsius, was forecast for July 19, IPN reports.

According to the State Hydrometerology Service, the average temperature this weekend will oscillate between 14 and 21 degrees Celsius at night and between 29 and 36 degrees Celsius during the day. On July 20, there will be heavy rain with thunder and lightning all over the country, while on July 21 only in parts.

Specialists recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun, drinking more water and staying in the shadow on dog days. The high temperatures pose an increased threat to children and persons suffering from cardiovascular diseases.
