MP Igor Dodon, the leader of the Socialist group in Parliament, is inviting the parliamentary parties to constructive dialogue. “Eurointegration Alliance member parties as well as the Communists should give up personal ambitions and behind-scene games and mobilize to overcome the problem related to the inability of electing a President”, Dodon said in a public statement, Info-Prim Neo reports. He noted that there are only two days left until presidential nomination may be made and called on all the parties in Parliament “to demonstrate common sense and live up to the name of people's representatives”. “We understand that the absence of political consensus favor the parties in Parliament. The Communist Party is pushing the country towards snap elections, while the Alliance parties attempt various unconstitutional ways to usurp state power. Such a behavior fuels the crisis and may trigger early elections, which will further burden the people and will deepen the state of incertitude and disorder in the country”, reads the statement. The Socialists further call for “responsible negotiations” that would yield an apolitical common candidate within the next two days.
