Doctors to examine passersby free on Heart Day

Cardiologists will assess gratis the cardiovascular risk of those who will visit the central park of Chisinau “Stephan the Great” on September 29. The event was organized by the Health Division of the Chisinau City Hall on the occasion of World Heart Day, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Chisinau City Hall, the campaign is intended mainly for women and children and encourages a healthy diet and the physical effort and giving up smoking. The message of the event is: “Cardiovascular diseases can be prevented”. World Heart Day is the largest global campaign initiated with the aim of promoting measures to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases, which are the main cause of death worldwide. Thus, all those who want to take part in the event are expected to go to the central park “Stephan the Great”, near the fountain, at 10am. World Heart Day is celebrated annually on the last Sunday of September in over 100 countries.
