Even though the Transnistrian authorities claim that the number of unemployed people is the same, official data show a different truth. Over the last 6 months, 363 people came to the region’s employment agency, while during the same period of the previous year their number was 189. The number of the unemployed is the same among men and women. The highest unemployment rate is among the people aged 40 and 50. Only 42 who came looking for a job actually got one. This year, 4 people received professional training from the agency’s budget.
