As last year, Moldova’s beach soccer champion CS Djoker Chisinau was eliminated in the 1/8 finals of the UEFA Champions League. The team trained by Ruslan Barburos was defeated by ASD Terracina Italy 3-11, IPN reports.
The goals for Djoker were scored by Grigore Cojocari, Ruslan Istrati, and Andrei Negara. Moldova’s champion reached the 1/8 finals after beating the teams of Romania and England in the group phase.
The UEFA Champions League this year is held in Catania, Italy. The competition ends on May 29.
