The district divisions managed by the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport of Chisinau municipality will be liquidated, while 40 personnel units will be cut. The new regulations concerning the functioning of the Division, the personnel statutes and organogram were approved in the February 27 meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council, IPN reports.
“The number of personnel units will be decreased, but the persons will be moved to new posts within the new structure of the Division,” said Viorica Negrei, who is the acting head of the Division. “There are enough vacancies that can be offered to those whose posts will not be included in the new organogram.”
By applying the new organogram, the Division will be able to save over 1.7 million lei a year. “There won’t be non-transparent or incorrect public procurement procedures as there will be only one body that will organize public procurement within the Division,” stated Viorica Negrei.
She made it clear that some of the employees could get lower salaries in the future. “Many posts at the General Division are vacant owing to the modest salaries. That’s why some of the persons hold two-three posts simultaneously. After the reorganization, these posts will be filled and those who held several posts will remain without one salary or two salaries,” stated Viorica Negrei.
