A negotiation process consists in the distribution of posts, this being the nucleus. The decisions are taken not by groups of persons, but by the party leaders, former first deputy chairman of the PLDM Alexandru Tanase, who now leads the Constructional Court, said in the program “In Profunzime” (“In Depth”) on Pro TV channel. According to him, judging by the previous talks, they discuss practically nothing at the negotiations and all the decisions are taken by the leaders of the parties, IPN reports.

Alexandru Tanase said the agreement on the formation of the Alliance for European Integration 2 was ready after a discussion of about half an hour between the leader of the PLDM Vlad Filat and the first deputy head of the PDM Vlad Plahotniuc, while the previous negotiations didn’t play a certain role.

“Ghimpu then asked the Ministry of the Interior and the Prosecutor General’s Office and was disparaged for this. After the talks were closed, we agreed what to tell the journalists. We thus discredited the notions of ‘principles and values’. On the last day, before the possible dissolution of Parliament, Vlad Filat and Vlad Plahotniuc discussed for about half an hour and the formula of the accord was announced. Until evening, the decision was adopted and there was formulated the agreement that was actually received from the European partners, based on a model of the Europeans,” said Alexandru Tanase.

According to him, in the talks they take into account the weight of every party. “Until the larger party does not have sufficient votes, the smaller party may be more important than the larger one. What’s’ going on in our country is something uncommon. The decisions are simple. The political parties have certain claims, depending on their weight. If you have the largest number of votes, you will surely want to control the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of the Interior, so as to have a say,” said the ex-Liberal-Democrat.

The parties that formed the AEI 2 are negotiating the conditions for constituting a new parliamentary majority following the dismissal of the Government on March 5.
