Ex-minister of energy Victor Parlicov does not rule out the scenario of his involvement in politics. He noted that he honored all his obligations as minister and shifted the responsibility for the purchase of gas onto Energocom and Moldovagaz. The ex-minister said that the idea of his involvement in politics comes in the context in which more and more citizens are talking about the need to create a pro-European alternative to the current government, IPN reports.
Victor Parlicov rejected the accusations made by Prime Minister Dorin Recean and government representatives regarding the poor management of the natural gas purchase process. He said that the ministry's responsibility is to work out policies and does not concern the purchase of gas.
"We did the work at the ministry brilliantly. These are not my findings and praises, but the findings of the European institutions," Victor Parlicov stated in the program "Black Box" on TV8 channel.
"The Energy Community Secretariat ranked us as the top performer among the countries of the Energy Community. There is also the European Commission's report on the progress made in the European integration process, and the energy sector is one of the four sectors with the highest speed of advancement," added the former minister.
Victor Parlicov admitted that while in the Cabinet, he was already flirting with the idea of creating a political party. He intends to initiate discussions with politicians of the right wing with the aim of joining efforts in the run-up to the parliamentary elections.
"I didn't deal with this while I was at the ministry, although I had such thoughts. For now, I will discuss with those who already deal with politics, to see who and what plans they have, to see if we are on the same wavelength," said the former minister.
Victor Parlicov was dismissed from office by presidential decree, at the request of Prime Minister Dorin Recean. Together with him, Victor Bînzari was discharged from the post of Energocom director, while Sergiu Tofilat was excluded from the Supervisory Board of Moldovagaz.
Premier Dorin Recean took over the energy portfolio, while secretary of state Constantin Borosan will be in charge of the coordination of all administrative-organizational processes at the Ministry of Energy.
