Prosecutor General Corneliu Gurin instituted disciplinary proceedings against a judge of the Comrat Court. The judge is suspected of accepting claims that involved an offshore company, IPN reports.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the judge ordered limiting the rights of legal entities that weren’t involved in the trial, including BC Victoriabank SA, an independent registrar and a state-run company.

As a result, the judge broke the imperative norms of the civil legislation, allowed unjustified interference in the rights and interests protected by the law of third entities and violated the Judge’s Code of Ethics. For the committed violations, the judge can be punished disciplinarily, including fired. A decision will be taken by the Supreme Council of Magistrates.
