The disability degrees that expire during the state of emergency will be extended automatically by the National Council for Determining Disability and Working Capacity. The decision was taken in a move to further ensure the realization of these persons’ right to social welfare, IPN reports.
After the meeting of the National Focal Point, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu said the Commission for Exceptional Situations took such a decision because the persons cannot go to see a doctor and cannot present the required documents during the state of emergency. The process of assessing the disability degree will be resumed after the state of emergency is lifted.
A state of emergency was declared in Moldova for 60 days, until May 15.
