The head of the boarding school for children with neuropsychological disorders situated in Ciniseuti, Rezina, from where a boy and his sister escaped earlier this week, risks being penalized for disciplinary deviation as he did not swiftly inform the Ministry of Education about this case, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry. According to the Ministry, the institution’s head took a number of measures to find the children. He phoned the driver of the minibus going to Chisinau, sought help from the placement center for minors, contacted the children’s mother and visited the children at the municipal hospital “V. Ignatenko” in Chisinau in order to make sure that they were healthy. The Ministry of Education created a special commission to examine this case. As a result of discussions with minors of the school and the personnel, it was established that the children did not run away because they were beaten by their elder colleagues and teachers, as it was earlier asserted. The Rezina Police Commissariat said the 13-year-old boy and his sister aged 11 on February 6 stole a mobile phone and clothes and, going out through a window of the second floor, went up to the school’s roof, from where they jumped down. When falling, the girl suffered a femur fracture and injury to the internal bodies, while the boy – a sole fracture. They were taken from a bus terminal to the Chisinau Emergency Hospital and then to the municipal hospital “V. Ignatenko”. Earlier, the children also made attempts to escape from the institution.
