The young spearman from Tiraspol, Denis Picus, won a bronze medal, with the result of 72.16 meters. Picus was preceded by the representatives of Romania and Bulgaria.
Athletes from 19 countries competed at the 72nd edition of the Balkan Championship, which was held in Bulgaria. The championship was one of the final contests before the big start of the season - the Doha World Championship.
