Some experts welcome the meeting of President Igor Dodon, Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu and Prime Minister Pavel Filip, while others consider it is a strategy planned by the power to emphasize the geopolitical factor that will be also used in the future parliamentary elections. Contradictory statements on the issue were made in the talk show “Moldova live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.

Ex-presidential adviser Vlad Turcanu said the meeting of the senior state officials forms part of an older strategy. “Dodon focused on his pro-Russian and anti-Romanian messages. On the other hand, the two representatives of the PDM appeared as saviors of the pro-European course. By this meeting, those who are in power wanted to reveal the Eastern danger,” he stated.

Political analyst Corneliu Ciurea noted the meeting of the three was beneficial. “It was something new. An attempt was made to discuss and find solutions to pressing problems such as the pensions,” he said.

Head of the Center for Initiatives and Public Authorities Monitoring Ion Dron said a gesture of political maturity was demonstrated by simply showing that the three can have discussions.

Political analyst Dionis Cenusa stated that the goal was to show to some that the three do not actually play a common game. ”What they do is designed to help each other in the parliamentary elections of 2018,” said Cenusa.
