Diaspora in Quebec: Campaign abroad too if you want the people to vote

Ala Mandacanu stressed the people do not vote in elections if they are not informed and stimulated. “The political parties believe the voters will do their duty, but they are not obliged to go to the polls. For us, it is important that the politicians tell us how they consider the economic problems can be solved and how they can support us at home,” she said. Ala Mandacanu also said the Alliance for European Integration does much at diplomatic level, but does not work with the Diaspora. If Moldova obtains a visa-free regime with the EU and fights corruption more effectively, a lot of people will return home because they want to, said the leader of the Moldovan community in Quebec.
