The Bureau for Diaspora Relations will hold the Diaspora Days at the end of August. The event will include the seventh Congress of the Diaspora, the second Diaspora Business Forum and the fourth DOR program for children from the diaspora, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Bureau says that the Congress of the Diaspora, on August 19-20, will bring together over 150 Moldovans from the diaspora.
On August 20-28, there will be staged the DOR program – Diaspora. Origins. Returns – for Moldovan children who settled abroad and who return home to find out more about their native country. The program will involve 100 children from 13 countries.
The Diaspora Business Forum on August 21 will gather together over 150 businessmen and top managers from abroad who are native of Moldova, government officials, decision makers and representatives of the private sector of the country.
The activities are organized with the aim of strengthening the communication between the Government and the diaspora, of mobilizing the diaspora and civil society associations for Moldova’s sustainable development, of strengthening the capacities of the diaspora and building connection bridges between the country’s people, regardless of their location.
