For the first time, children from the diaspora, who are between 12 and 17 years old, can enroll in the program "DOR de Tradiții". It is a winter camp that will take place during December 23-28, IPN reports.

"It is a pilot project carried out under the aegis of the Government of the Republic of Moldova. The program aims to bring children from the diaspora closer to the authentic values and traditions of our country. The "DOR de Tradiții" camp will bring together 30 children from the diaspora from December 23 to 28. The participants will explore winter customs and traditions through trips, educational and interactive activities, together with folk craftspeople and people of culture from the country," said the Government’s spokesman Daniel Vodă.

To participate in the program, those interested must fill out a form on the website of the Bureau for Diaspora Relations. Submissions are accepted by November 16. Participants must know the Romanian language at a basic conversational level. Priority will be given to candidates who have not previously participated in other programs organized by the Bureau.

Participation in the program is free of charge. All expenses are covered with state budget funds. The participants bear only the expenses for transportation to/from the Republic of Moldova and for health insurance.
