The Government of Moldova reopened the talks with the Russian Federation on the signing of an agreement in the field of labor force migration after a pause of six years. A delegation consisting of representatives of state bodies took part in a round of consultations on the issue in Moscow on November 2-3, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family, the draft agreement regulates the migration of labor force and the protection of Moldovan citizens who work on the territory of Russia and stipulates measures aimed at preventing illegal migration.
Within the discussions, the sides agreed the conception of the draft agreement, but reiterated the necessity of adjusting the provisions to the changes made to the national legislation and the institutional framework on labor migration of both of the states, which is to be discussed in the next round of consultations.
