“Diaconia” gathers clothes for children of Maternal Center “In Mother’s Arms”

The mothers of any age and occupation are invited to make fir tree decorations. In order to take part, they must donate a clothing item for children that will be given to the Maternal Center “In Mother’s Arms” intended for women in difficulty, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Christmas campaign “From mothers for mothers” is organized by the Social Mission “Diaconia” of the Bessarabian Metropolitan Church. The workshops will be held at the Maternal Center “In Mother’s Arms”, which was opened by “Diaconia” in September, until December 19. A charity fair to sell the decorations made by mothers within the workshops will be held at Shopping MallDova Center on December 17 and 18. Project coordinator Mihaela Belei said maternity is the most beautiful period in a woman’s life. “However, for the mothers of the Maternal Center “In Mother’s Arms” this period turned out to be the most difficult and unpleasant as they were abandoned by all those dear to them with the kids in their arms. At the center, they found support, shelter and friends,” she stated. ”We will make everything possible for Santa Claus to bring the children the presents they want. We will prepare the tastiest dishes and will spend the winter holidays in the family. We call on everyone to join this campaign in order to help other mothers to bring joy to their children.” Letters will be sent to private donors within the campaign. They will contain a presentation of the project and a call for support. Thus, the persons who want to become involved in the campaign, but cannot take part in the workshops will be able to join in.
