“Diaconia” collects clothes for people in need

The Social Mission “Diaconia” of the Bessarabian Metropolitan Church is launching the first project to collect clothes entitled “Clothes bank”. At the first stage of the project, by a collection box will be set up in all the five districts of Chisinau, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the Mission, in Chisinau the donations will brought together at the goods storehouse and will be then taken to people in difficulty all over the country, who are beneficiaries of the social projects of “Diaconia”, persons helped within the ‘social wardrobes’ of the bishoprics of the Bessarabian Metropolitan Church and its social partners and those who are in need of goods.

“Diaconia” calls on the people who want to make a donation to respect several rules: the clothes should be clean and neat, the donations should include things that can be used with dignity, including clothes, footwear, toys and bed clothes, and should be brought in bags.

The collection boxes are available at the stores “Linella” in all the districts of Chisinau, namely: 7/2 Onisifor Ghibu St, 10/1 Moscova Blvd, 12 Ion Dumeniuc St, 59 Decebal St and 11 Miorita St.
