The men held in Moldova’s penitentiaries will be able to spend one day with their fathers after they will take part in different activities organized by the Department of Penitentiary Institutions and Christian volunteers. The project “One day with the father” will be launched next year, in partnership with the Association of Christian Men of Timisoara, Romania, IPN reports.
Press officer of the Department of Penitentiary Institutions Olga Bolboceanu said the project will include 14 sessions within which the participants will be chosen from among detainees. The goal of the project is to socially reintegrate the prisoners by implementing and strengthening the moral-Christian values and by actively involving families of detainees in this process.
The Department of Penitentiary Institutions considers that such actions contribute to the maintenance of appropriate moral and psychological climate among prisoners and of their relations with the family.
