There are no international COVID-19 vaccine certificates and the access to countries depends on each state’s policy. Before setting off, the person should find out if entry with a vaccine certificate issued in Moldova is possible, Alexei Ceban, epidemiologist of the National Public Health Agency, stated in a news conference, being quoted by IPN.
“We, as a country, aim to align ourselves to the policies together with the launch of green vaccine certificates, when it is possible,” said the epidemiologist.
As many as 253,000 vaccine doses have been administered in Moldova until now. This is a vaccination rate of 6.3% of the population. Alexei Ceban said the vaccination rate rises daily and the impact of vaccination shows the risk of infection among medical staff decreased considerably and the decline is more pronounced each week. The morbidity rate among health workers has decreased by 90% since the vaccination campaign started.
The National Immunization Coordination Committee decided to fully launch the third vaccination stage on May 19. All the persons who want to be immunized against the novel coronavirus have access to vaccine at all the national vaccination centers. The people are urged to seek help from the family doctor or to make an appointment for immunization through the online platform.
