The Moldovan doctor who was most seriously hurt in the naval accident in Tulcea went out of coma. His state is now serious, but stable and he is to be transferred to Chisinau by a SMURD team on September 7, head of the Health Division Mihai Moldovanu announced in the ordinary meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, IPN reports.
According to Mihai Moldovanu, the six persons who were hurt in the naval accident were participants in a symposium staged in Romania. Four of the six were given first aid and weren’t hospitalized, while two doctors of Saint Trinity Hospital were injured more seriously. One of them was transported to the Chisinau Emergency Medicine Institute, while the doctor who was in a coma is to be taken to Chisinau today.
The naval accident occurred in Romania’s Tulcea, in the Danube Delta. There were 14 persons, who were all Moldovans, aboard one of the ships.
The Romanian press reported that the police in Tulcea started a criminal case over causing of bodily injuries. It’s known that one of the captains of the two ships left the place shortly after the accident. The 49-year-old man was identified in Tulcea municipality. This is to be questioned. The cause of the accident is yet to be found out.
