The National House of Social Insurance (CNAS) said that its local subdivisions do not issue paper certificates for being presented to different public institutions on Moldova’s territory. The institution made the clarification following multiple requests from applicants for certificates, IPN reports.

The CNAS said the changes in its activity were generated by the amendments made to Law No. 142 of July 19, 2018 concerning the exchange of data and interoperability. Under the law, the public authorities are obliged to ensure the provision of services without asking for documents from private individuals and legal entities if the data that these documents contain are available in the information resources and can be used or furnished through the interoperability platform MConnect.

Through the common data exchange technological platform, the citizens will offer the public authorities personal data only once, while the public institutions will use these data for providing public services.

Also, the citizens can further ask for certificates that need to be presented abroad.
