The police said the man who is suspected of murdering three persons in Bălți admitted his guilt. He related that he became acquainted with one of the victims several days ago and went to visit the other two persons on January 14, IPN reports.
The General Police Inspectorate said the suspect and the three victims drank alcoholic beverages together in a house. They had a quarrel that degenerated into a conflict. The suspect stabbed the three with a cup shard. The victims died as a result of the received injuries. To hide the crime, the young man set fire to the house and ran away.
The bodies of two men and a woman were discovered in a house destroyed by fire in the municipality of Bălți in the morning of January 15. The police arrested a 21-year-old suspect from Tiraspol. He was placed under arrest for 72 hours and faces 15 to 20 years behind bars or life imprisonment.
