Alexandr Stoianoglo and Ilan Shor had been neighbors for at least 20 years, according to an investigation by Deschide.md portal. The source notes, with reference to a database on Torrents.md, that the two lived at a distance of eight apartments and that this proximity allegedly influenced their social or professional relations, IPN reports.
"Data on homeowners in the capital city were published on the popular downloads site Torrents.md several years ago. That list included the dwellers of the block located at 7/1 Florica Nița St. Among those who lived there was the current presidential candidate Alexandr Stoianoglo and the criminal fugitive Ilan Shor, who, on the instruction of the Kremlin, seeks to destabilize the situation in Moldova," says the articles.
According to the quoted source, Alexandr Stoianoglo purchased the apartment with an area of 161 m2 in 2001, the year he became deputy prosecutor general. In two years, the house was registered with the Cadaster Office and the Stoianoglo couple still lives in that apartment in Râșcani district of the capital city.
Deschide.md said that Ilan Shor purchased the apartment with an area of 158 m2 a year earlier, in 2000. The apartment on Florica Niță St was also indicated in Shor's wealth statements for 2015 to 2021, when he held various public positions, such as mayor of Orhei and member of Parliament.
"The block where the two own apartments is a select one, with two car barriers at the entrance and security guards. We tried to obtain more details from Alexandr Stoianoglo on this case, but he rejected the calls of our reporters. We will provide details immediately after the candidate for President comes up with a reaction," says the investigation.
Deschide.md also wrote that, only two days before the October 20 election, it was rumored that Stoianoglo is Shor's shadow candidate. It happened after representatives of "Victorie" block, behind which there is the criminal fugitive, were allegedly informed through Telegram chats which candidate to vote for in the election.
