Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi will be making an official visit to London, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, between April 30 and May 1. The Minister of Foreign Affairs will have meetings with a number of British officials, including his counterpart David Cameron, IPN reports.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that Mihai Popșoi will also have meetings with Minister of State for Europe Nusrat Ghani, the Prime Minister's National Security Adviser Tim Barrow, members of Parliament from both the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
At the end of the visit, Deputy Prime Minister Popșoi will have a discussion with members of the Moldovan diaspora in London. The event will take place on Tuesday, April 30, at 6:00 p.m., inside the Embassy, (5 Dolphin Square, Edensor Road, Chiswick, London W4 2ST).
Also, the delegation of the Republic of Moldova led by Secretary of State Carolina Perebinos will take part in the 3rd meeting of the Moldova – UK Strategic Dialogue that will take place on the same day, April 30, at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. The British delegation will be led by Nusrat Ghani, Minister for Europe.
The relations between the Republic of Moldova and the United Kingdom advanced to the level of a strategic partnership in 2020, when the Strategic Partnership, Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the two states was signed.
