Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, is paying a working visit to Brussels and Stockholm during June 6-8. The goal of the visit is to promote and accelerate Moldova’s accession to the EU, IPN reports.
On Tuesday, Nicu Popescu will have meetings with NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană and Director General for European Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations Gert Jan Koopman in Brussels.
On Wednesday and Thursday, he will meet with Minister for Foreign Affairs Tobias Billströ, Minister for EU Affairs Jessica Roswall and other Swedish officials in Stockholm.
The work program includes participation in the Annual Meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
