Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure presented to staff

The new Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Anatol Usatyi was introduced to the personnel of the Ministry of Transport on March 5, the Ministry informs in a communique.

Minister Vasile Botnari said the road sector is very important for developing the country’s economy and the rehabilitation of the whole road infrastructure is thus a major objective for the Ministry.

“In the immediate period, we aim to make significant progress in the area of road rehabilitation of Moldova. I trust that the experience gained by Mister Anatol Usatyi will help us to do nice things for the country so that the people enjoy good roads, of European quality,” stated Vasile Botnari.

The minister also thanked ex-deputy minister Boris Gherasim for the contribution he made to developing the sector.

Anatol Usatyi is a Bachelor of Economy. Since 2010 until now, as the director of the road rehabilitation project implemented with the support of the Millennium Challenge Corporation, he managed the works to repair the Sarateni-Soroca road. Earlier, he worked at the unit for the implementation of the project “Druminvest” and at the State Road Administration.
