Offenders are both those who take and those who give bribe, Deputy Minister of Justice Anatolie Munteanu said in a new conference held to launch a campaign entitled “Don’t allow alcohol to lead you! Someone dear is waiting for you at home”.
Asked by IPN’s reporter to state his opinion about the motorists who give bribe in order to avoid criminal liability when they are caught driving under the influence, the official said the law provides for the punishment of both those who take bribe and those who give it.
“The person who intends to offer bribe should think very well because he becomes an offender when he materializes his intention and gives bribe,” said the deputy minister, noting everyone should think about this.
The survey “2016 in the opinion of Moldovan population”, which was recently presented by the Association of Sociologists and Demographers of Moldova, ranks ‘corruption at all levels’ as he fourth biggest concern of the population.
